Loaves & Fishes:
We regularly collect food items to contribute to the city-wide Loaves and Fishes food pantry, which helps feed needy individuals and families.
Families Feeding Families
Every third Thursday of each month, our church serves a meal at the kitchen located at the George Washington School Building in Durant-East Main. Children are, also, given back-pack lunches not getting sufficient food over the weekends.
Volunteers In Mission:
Groups and individuals sign up to participate in "hands-on" mission work. Mission projects are on-going in Africa, Belize, Bolivia, Brazil, Guatemala, Mexico, Honduras, Venezuela, as well as in the United States including many in Oklahoma.
Teacher Appreciation Lunch:
Each fall before the start of a new school year, we host a salad luncheon for our local schoolteachers as our way of showing appreciation for their efforts within the community.
Ministerial Alliance
Our church is affiliated with other churches in helping people who are traveling through our city and need assistance in getting where they need to go.
Foreign Missionary Support
Our church supports Leah and Wes Magruder who are missionaries to Camaroon, West Aftrica. For more information about the Magruders go to http://preachpeace.blogspot.com
Pregnancy Center
Our church is affiliated with other churchs and service organizations in support of our local pregnancy center
Women's Crisis Center.
The local women's crisis center is supported by funds provided by the church and items collected by the UMW during the year.
